Dearest Oslo

To the people of Norway.  I am deeply sorry for the tragedies that have unfold amidst your national holiday.  To the families of those whom have perished, my heart goes out to you.   To the perpetraters of these senseless and insidious acts, I just hope you get yours.  I am truly and deeply saddened today.

Birds Of A Feather



With overcast skies and temps in the low 60's, Saturday was all about relaxing.  Relaxing up to the point that two fledgling sparrows decided to spread their wings in attempt to take flight into the wild blue yonder.  The lil pair managed to get as far as the shed and from that point hunkered down for the entire day.  Cheyenne (my granddaughter) had just returned home from a sleepover and upon discovery of the two fledglings she spent the entire day insuring that no predators would cause harm to the little twins.  These are her photos.



Just before dusk, the pair began pre-flight wing checks and within 5 mins of commencing they lifted their tiny bodies with a flapping ackwardness and were gone.  Cheyenne was both elated in that they finally took flight and no longer needed to worry of what the night may have brought, yet saddened by the fact they were gone.

Today, the rains returned....

You can help by clicking the link at the top right sidebar and signing the petition to create "Caylee's Law".  'Caylee's Law', would make it a felony for parents not to report the death of a child to law enforcement within an hour of discovering the incident, or within 24 hours in the case of child disappearance.
