'Tis The Season

Unfortunately 'tis the season for wildfires that plague the Sierra Nevada's and Cascade mountain ranges this time of year.  With beautiful summer weather also comes mountain storms and lightning.  I was just informed this evening that our hikers Amy (Legs) and Allan (Powerhouse) are to be detoured from a section of the PCT due to the 15,000 acre Chips fire in the northern Sierra's.  With only 10% containment, locals are being prepared for the worst with some evacuations in process.  I hope to bring more pics and an update soon.
