Don't hurry through life with a frown on your face,
And never a moment to spare,
For your smile is always worth while
In this world full of trouble and dispair.

There are others with burdens as heavy as yours,
Hearts weighed with aching and pain,
That are longing to see just a smile you see,
Please let that not go with restrain.

Don't feel that misfortune has singled you out
And made you her special prey.
For you may be sure there's no home so secure
That trouble won't enter some way.

There is sunsine for all in the bustling world,
You'll just have to go after your share,
And you'll miss it of course, if you're hurried and cross
With never a moment to spare

Yet if you have sunshine and love in your home,
If pleasure and plenty abound
Don't hoard up your store, as you'll enjoy that much more
If you scatter if freely around

The light of your smile can be seen from afar
Heaven does record it's full worth,
Though you whisper a word, let it's echo be heard
To the furthermost ends of the earth.

Hi Tweety, I'd wondered where ya been and thot of you often. Hope you and yours are well. Thanks for the nice comment on the poem. Bedtime, ah, that's when you should be smiling as it's time to give ones weary bones a rest and just happens to be my fave time of day! I look so forward to resting my head at the end of a long or hard day.

Hope you've rested well!
